Kids are my favorite to shoot! They are themselves, never worrying how they look. The world is a wondrous playground and all they want is to have fun in it! They marvel at the little things, a lief, a flower, the sky. They dance and sing, skip and run and I love it all!

Last Year I ran a little mini class at my Friend's studio. I placed a few up from last year for some fun diy inspiration. (photo's of children curtsy of Melany Hallgren Photography) 



  • The snow globs are 40% water 60% corn syrup~and what ever you want to place in to them. To keep the photos safe, use clear contact paper~make sure there is a small lip all around you photo, this will help seal it and protect id from the water. You also want to have something to weigh the photo down or it will spin all over when you shake it.




  • The Photo Coaster are made with vinyl. Place your photo in between two pieces of clear vinyl and sew together. You can cut the access vinyl away when your done sewing. You can use different color thread for some fun.

Sometimes the last thing I want to do after editing photos all day is to be on the computer any longer than I have to!  That means I do not post as much as I would like. ( a girls gotta sleep!) I have a few shoots that were so awesome and perfect this year that I can't not share them...one of my favorite places to shoot in Michigan is Cranbrook House and Gardens. The 40 acre Garden is home to a wonderful Museum and Art School. It is  beautiful and one of my all time favorite places to shoot. It's magical and makes you really feel that you are truly in a secret garden!









The secret garden is always open now. Open, and awake, and alive. If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.~ The Secret Garden

Do you ever fall in love with color's so much you want to paint your world with them?
Some of my favorite photo shoots from this year have been great color inspiration's!  
In January I'm pulling out the paint brush and going to town on a few rooms in my house!
I think the one photo right below will be the color's in my downstairs bathroom!!!
(so retro...love it!)
On another note.... 
What do you think of the newlogo!!!   
(I think simple is best!!)
